Known caveats

A ratio of two summed state totals (extraction over extractable resource), not an average of the source rows — the two pre-2020 Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu rows are combined this way for one correct combined figure.

A lower stage means groundwater is drawn at a more sustainable rate; a stage over 100% means more is drawn each year than nature replaces.
