Known caveats
The upstream resource is a rolling "as on previous day" cumulative total since the portal launched in 2021, not a fixed-period count, and has no historical backfill — each day is stamped and stored as a new snapshot going forward.
Counts come from a filtered row-count query against a 340M+ row worker-level resource, not a pre-aggregated state table, because the OGD API has no aggregation endpoint for this resource.
A rising count can mean wider social-security coverage for informal workers, or simply reflect a large informal workforce — not judged as good or bad.
